Product Development Manager

Location : Singapore


1. Business concept and Product Development Strategy as approved by Regional Product development Manager.

  • Use as guidelines for Product Development

  • Review category performance by quarterly

2. Ensure that Product Development is based on creative activity directed towards the following shoe line objectives:

  • Maximum appeal to volume consumer wants in your market

  • Excellence of merchandise

  • Continuous innovation and improvement in shoes and process

  • Shoe line representing outstanding value to consumers and profitable to produce

3. Constantly strive to implement innovations and improvements regarding shoe and process, which have a consumer orientation.


Marketing& Communication

  • Finalize collection in respect of designs, lines, price required and customer segmentation.

  • Finalize Collection in accordance with Shoe line Calendar & seasonal

  • Maintain contact with representative customers, countries in order to be informed of requirements, new ideas and problems in respect of shoe line.

  • Review countries sales performance every month to know the customer’s opinion about new designs and their requirements.

  • Work out and develop marketing projects to introduce best sellers.

  • Guide designer in the preparation of POP materials and effective product communication

  • Keep the countries well informed with regard to the latest development in fashion, styling, manufacturing and marketing.


  • Pass on proposals to the styles in the form of shoes, sketches and picture reference as construction, material colors and lasts to be used.

  • Arrange last models, prototype molds for the new ideas.


  • Search out samples and information for new and interesting materials for uppers, components and accessories with the help of Sourcing team.


  • Review costing for any possible savings or changes required, especially where there is a difference of opinion with Marketing, regarding the proposed FOB price as per market required.


  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, any field.

  • Required skill(s): market survey, product and brand management, product and market development, marketing and product development, Market Research.

  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

  • Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Sales - Retail/General or equivalent.
