Summary

As the Business Development Director, you have the ability to build a growth revenue through effective sales strategies and tactics. Establishing and building relationships and gaining customer loyalty is paramount in this role. You must be a diligent professional who demonstrates natural abilities in developing sales strategy, sales leadership, account development & strategy, lead generation/prospecting, prequalification, interpersonal relations, negotiation, and closing. 

An ideal candidate would be someone who thrives in a demanding team environment, excels under pressure, and interacts well with people from all professional levels. Above all else, you understand the sales process and are results oriented, consistently delivering on your revenue targets.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and work with potential clients and partners to drive the business growth in Hong Kong, specifically for our smart city projects.

  • Relentlessly build pipeline and develop strong relationships with local smart city partners and relevant local governments.

  • Understand issues faced by potential clients and work with internal teams to propose solutions.

  • Evaluate new business opportunities, and work with internal solution team as well as external partners to develop business strategy and end to end solution structure.

  • Identify key opportunities to:

    • drive adoption of current digital applications;

    • develop new digital applications for customers

  • Develop strategies to grow the market and implement them.

  • Build awareness and promote the company’s brand, products and capabilities

 

Requirements

  • Possess a good education pedigree.

  • At least 10 years’ experience in Business Development/Sales in software/smart city solutions.

  • Proven track records in developing/penetrating new markets/clients.

  • A resourceful executive who has strong networks in Hong Kong market, ideally in both public and private sectors. Good relationships with smart city related governments and key players will be highly preferred.

  • A self-starter, who is able to survive in a startup environment and has the passion and drive to build things from scratch.

  • Have a good understanding of Smart City initiatives in Hong Kong, key players and issues.

  • Ability to work within a multicultural environment.

  • Experienced working as part of a global team.

  • Good command of English. Mandarin is a plus
