Managing network and systems monitoring solutions to provide proactive alerting and performance trending;
Applying proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments; and
Providing IT project coordination.
The incumbent performs or assists in the installation, upgrade, configuration and administration of VMware, Windows and Linux systems.
Develop and maintain Information Technology operational processes and tasks.
Collaborate with network staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
Work with executive team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues.
Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
Monitor, analyze, and predict trends for server equipment performance, resource allocation, and data growth to recommend enhancements to the IT management team.
Perform ongoing hardware and software maintenance operations, including installing or upgrading hardware or software.
Create required reports in response to business user needs.
Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
Use appropriate tools to review, monitor, and manage schedule project timelines and milestones as required by changing conditions.
Develop and manage work breakdown structure (WBS) of information technology projects.
Perform risk assessments to develop response strategies.
Schedule and facilitate meetings related to information technology projects
Must have working knowledge in IBM Endpoint Manager (IEM) or BigFix product
Must possess basic server engineering skillset WinTel, VMwar
Three years systems administration experience in an enterprise level environmen
Experience in Virtualization technologies such as VMWare or Microsoft Hypervisors and Microsoft products
Experience in Production Control disciplines and Change Management
Proficient in troubleshooting both system and application issues
Effective communication skills, both written and oral
Energetic and self-motivated team player with ability to work effectively and cooperatively with project and infrastructure teams
Strong working knowledge of proactive and auto-corrective monitoring practice
Working knowledge in Relevance Programming language used in IEM (optional)
Working knowledge of Linux & Windows System administration
Seven years of IT experience
Experience supporting and implementing Disaster Recovery solution
